Between Sundays - October 13

News & Announcements

Night Of Worship
You are invited to attend Hope Resource Center's "Life Matters Night of Worship" this Sunday, October 16 from 6:00-7:15 PM. This event, open to the community, will take place in our sanctuary, and will be an evening to worship, pray, and seek the Lord on behalf of the unborn. Chuck Hooten and the Shoreline band will be leading musically. As part of the evening, volunteers will be needed to help welcome guests from the community prior to the event. If you are willing to serve, email Julie Schulze.

October 21-23: High School Fall Retreat
During our Fall Retreat, students will enjoy a weekend retreat where they can experience God and hang out with friends. We will be staying in Pigeon Forge, where we will have access to all that the area has available. This is not your typical weekend in the mountains. Our goal is for students to grow in their walk with God while recharging emotionally and relationally. Cost is $100 if registered by Oct. 14th. After Oct. 14th cost is $125. Sign your student up today. Email Brandon if you have further questions.

Knox County Baptist Annual Meeting
We are eager and honored to be hosting the Knox County Association of Baptists' Annual Meeting on Tuesday, October 18 from 5:00-8:00 PM. We will celebrate all the ministries of the Association and have pastors from over 150 churches in the sanctuary. This is a wonderful opportunity for Shoreline to be able to serve and encourage other pastors in our community. We need help with set up from 10:00-1:00 that morning, as well as greeters and servers in the evening. Please contact Julie Schulze if you can help out!

Awaken: A Gathering For Women
Ladies, mark your calendars for our second "Awaken" worship event on Monday, October 24 from 6:30-7:45 PM. Awaken is a gathering for every woman no matter how big her struggles or complicated her story. It's coming together at the feet of Jesus through prayer, worship and the Word. And it's making His name great in our church, in our community, and in our world. Childcare is not provided.

November 13: Family Dedication
Family Dedication is more than an event. It is an opportunity for you to take the right first steps at the beginning of your journey as a parent to really think about what will matter the most in the life of your child. To participate in family dedication you'll need to attend “First Steps” on Oct. 30th or Nov. 6th  from 10:45- 11:45. Family dedication will take place on Sunday morning Nov. 13th. Please RSVP by Oct. 26th so we can plan accordingly.

Meals Ministry
From time to time, we all need a little help from our friends. And a homemade or carry-out meal is often one of the easiest and most appreciated ways to help a Shoreline Church individual or family going through a challenging season. If you are interested in the opportunity to help with this ministry or know of someone who would benefit, please email Olivia Parton and she will get you set up!
