A Note From Jason
Thanks to so many of you who have offered encouragement related to our Headlines sermon series. It's been really neat to hear of how individuals and life groups have been working through these issues. You'll be blessed to hear from Dominique Lee this weekend for a stand-alone message. Then, on the next Sunday, we are going to offer a "bonus week" of Headlines on the topic of the election and politics. (GULP) After that, we'll jump into a 4-week series on the book of Jonah. All this to say, we have an great season of growth in the Word ahead. Let's keep pursuing the things of Christ!

Life Matters Night of Worship
All of Shoreline is invited and encouraged to attend Hope Resource Center's "Life Matters Night of Worship" on Sunday, October 16 from 6:00-8:00 PM. This event, open to the community, will take place at Shoreline, and will be an evening to worship, pray, and seek the Lord on behalf of the unborn.
Additionally, volunteers are needed to help welcome guests from the community prior to the event. If you are willing and able to serve, email Julie Schulze. If you would like to participate in Hope Resource Center's week of prayer leading up to the Night Of Worship, sign up here.
Awaken: A Gathering For Women
Ladies, mark your calendars for our second "Awaken" worship event on Monday, October 24 from 6:30-7:45 PM. Awaken is a gathering for every woman no matter how big her struggles or complicated her story. It's coming together at the feet of Jesus through prayer, worship and the Word. And it's making His name great in our church, in our community, and in our world. Childcare is not provided.
Knox County Baptist Annual Meeting
We are eager and honored to be hosting the Knox County Association of Baptists' Annual Meeting on Tuesday, October 18 from 5:00-8:00 PM. We will celebrate all the ministries of the Association and have pastors from over 150 churches in the Worship Center. This is a wonderful opportunity for Shoreline to be able to serve and encourage other pastors in our community.
There will be several opportunities to serve and be a part of this gathering both before and during the event. Please email Julie Schulze to see how you can help!
High School Fall Retreat
Attention all high school students! Don't miss out on Fall Retreat, October 20-23. Students will enjoy a weekend retreat where they can experience God and enjoy community with their friends. We will be staying in Pigeon Forge, where we will have access to all that the area has available. This is not your typical weekend in the mountains. Our goal is for students to grow in their walks with God, while recharging emotionally and relationally. Cost is $125. Sign your student up today.
Our next Shoreline 101 class (formerly Launch Point) will be on Sunday, October 16 & 23 during the 10:45 AM worship gathering. This two-week class will walk you through our Shoreline mission and vision, as well as present you with all the ways to get involved in the life of the church. At the end of the second week, you'll have the opportunity to join Shoreline in partnership. Register here.
