A Note From Jason
It's been a wild week in our country. No matter what your thoughts were of the election results, let's be reminded that God is in control. In addition, we don't place our hopes in the efforts of man. Rather, we look to King Jesus as the One who can bring healing and hope to our nation. Let's use this season as an opportunity to show ourselves as a people who honor Christ with lives that seek to emulate His character! I hope you've already been praying for our current President and that you'll now begin praying for our President-Elect. I look forward to seeing you on Sunday!
News & Announcements
This week, we'll be taking a one-week break from our series in Jonah to look at our role in serving the orphan as the Bible commands us. Don't miss this week as we look at the Biblical foundation for orphan care, as well as introduce some exciting initiatives our church is undertaking to serve the orphan, both at home and around the world.
Mission Of Hope Christmas
With the Christmas season comes our opportunity to serve our partner school, Yellow Creek Elementary, alongside Mission of Hope. This annual tradition collects Christmas gifts for children in rural Appalachia. Mission Of Hope Blue Barrels, including a list of needed items, will be in the lobby from November 18 - December 5. In addition, we are planning to deliver toys to Yellow Creek Elementary in Kentucky on December 15. Let us know if you are interested in attending with us on that day.
It's not too late to join us for Shoreline 101 (formerly Launch Point) this Sunday, November 13 and 20 during the 10:45 AM gathering. This two-week class will walk you through our Shoreline mission and vision, as well as present you with ways to get involved in the life of the church. During the second week, you'll have the opportunity to join Shoreline in partnership. Register here.
War Room Study
Join us on Wednesdays at 6:30 PM in Room 200 for a new study entitled "War Room" (based off the motion picture), where we'll look at the power of prayer in each of our lives. The study is led by Merna Schott, and will last through December 7. Childcare is not provided. Email Julie Schulze to RSVP.
