Next-Gen SERVE Weekend
Mark your calendar for November 10-12 for SERVE Weekend! This is going to be an incredible weekend for all of our families. SERVE Weekend is an amazing opportunity to bless others and be blessed. Many will go out into our community and show the love of Christ in real and tangible ways. Families and Life Groups from our next generation ministry will choose a serve project from below that everyone can do together as a group on SERVE Weekend, so there will be many ways to get involved.
Concessions at Farragut HS Playoff Game - Date TBD (High School Age+)
For many students and parents, they miss the game to help provide concessions to those in attendance.
We want to serve Farragut High School by helping serve concessions at a FHS basketball game.
Brandon Kennedy is the team leader for this service project.
Yard Cleanup Project - Saturday, November 11 / 8:30-11:30 AM (Elementary Age+)
There is an opportunity to help serve an elderly lady in a nearby neighborhood off Northshore Dr. with health issues.
She is in need of basic yard clean up and maintenance during this fall season and as winter quickly approaches.
Brandon Kennedy is the team leader for this service project. He will be following up individually with the address.
Church Cleanup Project - November 11 / 8:30-11:30 AM (All Ages)
This is a great opportunity for our Shoreline families to help our Knoxville Baptist Association out
by cleaning up Elm Street Baptist Church. The church is vacant and we would love to make the building useable for a future church. The address is 728 Burgress Ave. Knoxville,TN 37921. Beth Duncan is the team leader for this service project.
Childcare for City Church - Sunday, November 12 / 5:15-7:00 PM (High School Age+)
A local church plant needs help providing childcare for their members so they can attend a members’ meeting. We are looking for 4-5 high school aged or older volunteers to help facilitate this need for the members of City Church at 522 Sevier Ave. Knoxville, TN 37920. Julie Schulze is the team leader for this service project.
Assisted Living Home - Sunday, November 12 / Time TBD (All Ages)
We will be loving on the residents at Manor House by visiting with them and playing one of their favorite activities - BINGO! Plan to meet at Manor House at 3:00 PM. Sarah Ramsey is the team leader for this service project.
Mission of Hope Christmas Gift Drop (All Ages)
Our kids are assembling and creating teacher gift bags for Yellow Creek teachers as we look to partner with them through Mission of Hope. In addition, our kids’ ministry will have other various service projects that morning. This will take place on Sunday during both services in our kids’ ministry. Laura Hale is the team leader for this service project.
Teacher Bags & Much More - November 12 / During Sunday Services (Shoreline Kids)
We are asking families to purchase any item/items from the list here. Mission of Hope only accepts new items for this collection. Items can be donated in our blue barrels. The blue barrels will be located in our lobby and check in areas on November 12. We would love for our barrels to be full when Mission of Hope picks up on December 5!
