Your donations to this initiative will go toward Fostering Hope TN, Inc., a ministry founded by a Knoxville family in 2013 to meet the needs of children and families in the Child Welfare System by restoring dignity, hope, and self-worth. After learning that many children were moving between homes with only trash bags for their belongings, the community rallied to provide backpacks, suitcases, and essential supplies for children entering or transitioning through foster care. Each bag is filled with hygiene items, school supplies, and other necessities to ensure every child has something of their own during an often frightening and uncertain time.

Rooted in its Christian mission and inspired by Jeremiah 29:11, Fostering Hope TN has distributed thousands of suitcases, helping children feel valued and supported, especially teens grateful not to begin college carrying their belongings in trash bags. The organization also advocates for the more than 8,000 children in Tennessee’s custody by raising awareness, partnering with churches, engaging in community outreach, and connecting families to foster and adoption resources. Through these efforts, Fostering Hope TN continues to uplift youth and strengthen the foster care community across the state.
